how about, getting the target="_blank" set up to be target="_self"

would you be able to do that? I tried but when I did it said there was an error in the files (I must be missing some other code that needs edited to do this). I didn't go any further with uploading the mod after that.

Just thought it would be nice to have the link open in the same page if people wanted it to.

go to your admin section, and un-install the package. <easiest way I have found, once uninstalled you can either leave the files within the forum code or delete them out. it's up to you.

Mrbabbelen,

I figured out how this needed to be done with the current version. a change to the display.template.php needs to be done, I believe the first time I tried I had only made the change to the index.php

so my issue has been resolved, adding a feature for opening a new window or opening the same window would be nice to have in the options menu for the mod though.

SMF 1.1.5 Right?
For all of my tests it worked fine.
Should be named "button"

Dear MrBabbelen
I would like permission to translate your mod, Your Button into Turkish. If you accept, I also want to kindly ask you to release it in the mod site, so that I won't be violating any redistribution rules via redistibuting the mod myself. Thank you in advance.

ModSettings.turkish.php:
Quote$txt['yourbutton_title'] = 'Buton';
$txt['yourbutton_url'] = 'Buton Url'si';

Best Regards,
Alpay

_Anthony_

Permission granted, and added as version 1.2

having the same problem

where in the CP panel should it appear ?

never mind its under Features and Options > button

but its not adding the button for me

bran8464

Same for me. version 1.1.5 and nothing in Features & Options. Is add_settings.php supposed to be there, because I cannot find it. If it is, where is it?

bran8464

It would be really good to get answers on this.

_Anthony_

Idk, It works fine for me.
Are you using a customized admin.php?

bran8464

This could be a very useful mod if I could get it to work. I'm using 1.1.5, default so any help would be much appreciated.

bran8464

I also installed this on a clean test site, 1.1.5 and got the same result. Button appears but no way of configuring it. As it seems a number of people have exactly the same problem it would be good if someone could figure this out.
