There is in the admin panel however the default should be both on.
If your support topic does not have a link i will NOT assist you.
A link is easy to add AND is a massive help very often.
And a login account would be usefull even if its only pass and user =demo and its a normal account its not hard to add those two pieces of information.

I will do edits for you but not for free :) time costs money.

I got SMF 2.0 RC 1.2 and i managed to install this mod the only thing what went wrong is that i don`t have this mod on quick reply just on normal one...
How to fix this?

And how can i put this mod under the smileys???

TheListener

As a person whom detests WYSIWYG does this mod require it or not?

If so I would definately consider installing the mod.

alexandervba

my color bar only works for [bgcolor]... I cant seem to switch it back to ever after since our forums were hacked and I reuploaded everything.

How I get this to work?

any news on that question?

Aye, I'll update the question:

Will there be an update for 2.0 RC3?   ;D

The bar thingy made it really easy to pick colors.  I miss it.  :-\

Hi,

Does this mod is supported to SMF 2.0 RC3 yet?

Thank you very much

I'm guessing that since the original author hasn't been around in over a year, someone will have to take it over if its going to be updated.

I'm going to bump this, because I'd *really* love to get my paws on it.

Or if anyone can point me in the direction of a similar mod; I need to be able to change the colour behind the text, not just the text itself.

Hmmm..

Yeah was trying to install this on SMF 2.0 Final. Looks like it fails the test with the GenericControls.template.php modification. I went looking at the code and what it's looking for and what is actually in the file is fairly different.

Maybe I can figure out how to manually add the code in or trick the installer. Hmmm.. bummer.

No, I never got the mod working.  I ended up doing my own thing with a jscolor script: http://jscolor.com/ .  I loaded the script at the top of /(theme)/index.template.php:

// Here comes the JavaScript bits!
echo '
<script type="text/javascript" src="', $settings['default_theme_url'], '/scripts/script.js?fin20"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="', $settings['theme_url'], '/scripts/theme.js?fin20"></script>
   <script type="text/javascript" src="', $settings['theme_url'], '/scripts/jscolor/jscolor.js"></script>

Then, in /(theme)/Post.template.php around line 398:

// What about smileys?
if (!empty($context['smileys']['postform']) || !empty($context['smileys']['popup']))
echo '
<div id="smileyBox_message"></div>';
   // MarkRH
   echo '<hr class="clear">'."\n";
   echo '<dl id="post_header">'."\n";
   echo '<dt class="clear_left">Color pickers:</dt>
   <dd><input value="" style="cursor: pointer;" size="10" class="color {valueElement:\'myColor\',hash:true}"> <input size="10" style="cursor: pointer;" id="myColor" onclick="surroundText(\'\', \'\', document.forms.postmodify.message); this.selectedIndex = 0; document.forms.postmodify.message.focus(document.forms.postmodify.message.caretPos);" style="margin-bottom: 0;"> &lt;- Click to insert';
   echo ' | <input value="[BGCOLOR]" style="cursor: pointer;" size="10" class="color {valueElement:\'myBackgroundColor\',hash:true}"> <input size="10" style="cursor: pointer;"  id="myBackgroundColor" onclick="surroundText(\'[bgcolor=\' + this.value + \']\', \'[/bgcolor]\', document.forms.postmodify.message); this.selectedIndex = 0; document.forms.postmodify.message.focus(document.forms.postmodify.message.caretPos);" style="margin-bottom: 0;"> &lt;- Click to insert</dd>';
   echo '</dl>'."\n";
   // end MarkRH

   echo '
               ', template_control_richedit($context['post_box_name'], 'smileyBox_message', 'bbcBox_message');

Then, in /Sources/Subs.php around line 1184, I added the bgcolor tag to the list of BBC Codes:

array(
'tag' => 'bgcolor',
'type' => 'unparsed_equals',
'test' => '(#[\da-fA-F]{3}|#[\da-fA-F]{6}|[A-Za-z]{1,20}|rgb\(\d{1,3}, ?\d{1,3}, ?\d{1,3}\))\]',
'before' => '<span style="background-color: $1;" class="bbc_color">',
'after' => '</span>',
),

I think that's all I did. This was like 5 months ago so I might have forgotten something LOL.

Hope it helps,
Mark H.
