@trackermo... Could you make an account for me to use so that I can see exactly what the problem is (make sure the account has permission to make a blog)?  Just send me a pm on here with the login/pass.

@ravac... I appreciate you making translations of the text strings.  However, you should know that the text strings are still in the process of change, so some strings might be removed and others added.

About the IE problems... Yes IE6 and earlier have problems with css hover.  I have compensated for this problem by using csshover.htc.  This will be included in 2.0.3 Beta.

Ravac

whatever, when come final strings i will translate again, there is no problem :)

Sudhakar Arjunan

I could see 2.0.3 Beta in degrees of zero.

When a release note will be updated.

Actually what I am running on Degrees of Zero (live site) is not the most up to date :)

My dev site has the most up to date... I am still trying to get the OPML feed to work right and I am looking through topics/posts to find people's suggestions that I haven't included yet.  I've been using Google to find websites that ARE blog communities that developed their software just for their purposes and I am noticing just how awesome this Blog Community mod I made is.... I am having a hard time finding features on other sites that I have not included in this software and I am 99.999% sure that none of those sites have a control panel anywhere near as powerful/easy to use as this one is.

Sudhakar Arjunan

Yes charles hill,

you are right, i like the control panel. Its really has all the interfaces.

I would like to contribute in developing a help menu.

Because when i first implemented i was in bit of fear. Whether these changes will cause something to our forum and all.

I want to develope a video what says how to install first , setting up admin account - Most important - what is single mode and community mode etc.

For those i have to get prepared of these settings.

For instance, am using community mode and saw one board is occupied when i create only one blog.

so if 100 members wants there seperate blog then 100 boards no will be occupied is it.

If i enable to have multiple board for all.

Then if someone creates second board, will that take separate board id or it will be child of first blog / board he/she had created.

Having a help section within the mod would be useful.  I would really appreciate help in developing such a section, as I have limited time as it is.

There's an interesting idea.... But this would be difficult to implement and it would open up a can of worms (could create a bunch of new problems)... What if you want to delete their first blog (the one that had all the others created under it)?  Would have to reassign all the others to be the children of their second blog.  Would get really messy.   But I do see the benefit of doing it that way.  Would make the board index more organized if you aren't hiding the blog boards on the board index.

Sudhakar Arjunan

Yes charles hill, i will start work on the help menu video soon.

you have raised a good question and answer is too good with details.

Let me ask in one another way. I want to use only one board . Take the assigned board no is 80.

So when ever new user adds new blog with the write permission to only one blog per user.

Will this create new blog with new board id as 81 or how this will look like.

Whatever the answer is? I want the additional users board to host something like 80.user1 or 80.1 as board number or something.

Because it does not have a meaning if the blog is going to create n numbers of boards.

Every blog you create is in actuality a board... But it is treated differently than other boards.  When any user creates a new blog they are actually creating a new board.

Sudhakar Arjunan

Ok i got it,

Is single blog mode allow all the users to create a blog under this single blog mode.

Single blog mode allows you to have just one blog.

I created a new site to test this out before installing it on my live site.

I have SMF 1.1.6 fresh install, bridged with the latest Mambo 4.6.5.

All seems great, but for some reason when accessing the blogs link it jumps out of the mambo site into it's own window.. Any ideas here?

url is www.dvds.com.au  as I said, just a test site.

Kindred

probably because the link was hardcoded rather than using $scripturl or $boardurl.

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

I've never worked with iframes before... Plus I am not entirely sure what problem you're having.  You need to be more specific if possible.  Otherwise I don't know what is causing a problem.

See here: http://www.dvds.com.au/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=3

That is SMF wrapped inside Mambo. As you can see it's a default install of SMF and it's sitting nicely inside the Mambo theme thanks to the bridge.

When you click blogs: http://www.dvds.com.au/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=3&action=blogs

It does seem to be using the $scripturl to me according to the URL anyway, because the URL looks the same with &action=blogs on the end. But as you can clearly see it's no longer wrapped inside the Mambo theme as it was when viewing the forum only.

Any help would be appreciated.

Charles Hill

Make sure "Toggle all blog pages to display without forum layers" is NOT checked.  If it isn't.... then I have no idea why it is doing that at this time.  I have yet to test it with smf bridged to mambo.

If you do figure out what was causing this and fix the problem, please post your solution here so that if others encounter the same problem they know what to do :)

It was checked, but I have unchecked it and it made no difference.

If I click the Blog Control Panel while on the blog page, it goes back to wrapped. So i'm guessing it's something to do with the styling of the blogs page.

I really have no idea where to start though :(

Thanks for looking into it though. Cheers.

Johno69

Seems to only be that page, when I went to post a blog, it jumped back to being wrapped.

So must be that one page.

Atheo

Anyone willing to install this for me on the Grungy theme? Please?!
