Ok....this may be a bug issue.

When trying to read threads in the forums with 2 or more pages,it wont let you.   It takes you to page #1 everytime you want to read the last page.

Also at your site: http://degreesofzero.com/index.php/topic,12.0.html  you cant read the 2nd page.

I removed the modified Index.php and problem solved.  But cannot use the blog mod without the modified index.php

Bug maybe?

Any ideas?   I'd post my index.php if you like.

Also.....when tinkerin' ;D  i experienced these errors:

Database Error: Unknown column 'p.blog_id' in 'where clause'
File: /home/midwes15/public_html/zCommunity/Sources/Blog.php
Line: 1233

Database Error: Unknown column 'blog_id' in 'where clause'
File: /home/midwes15/public_html/zCommunity/Sources/Subs-Blogs.php
Line: 287

and couldnt access the blog.

Well...I don't seem to hit this issue....but...try to manually mod your index.template.php and index.php.  I didn't do that for you, though now I think I should have.

post up the index.php and index.template.php, or PM me with them, and I'll manually add the code.

I don't have this issue on my forum, though.  I'll have to look a into it a bit more.

Mick.

I re-edit my post.   Its happening at Hill's forum as well.

Now that you mentioned it,im going to see the edits on my files and make sure theyre there.

Mick.

Everything seems to go fine, after i hit "Install Now" my screen just goes white.  I tried manually installing the files, and when i got to install_db_edits.php i just got another white screen.  after trying to go back to my site, i got yet another white screen.  Eventually i just deleted all the filechanges that happened.

Could you write out the DB edits? or do you think my problem was somewhere else?

If you are getting a white screen that means there's a syntax error and your site is not displaying those errors.  It probably is failing to load the necessary zCommunity sources files.  Make sure those files are in the right place.

Installed, but I also don't see anything in the Admin panel regarding going to zCommunity's Control Panel.

That work's but while trying to Import a Board to Blog and create a new one I got:

Database Error
Unknown column 'blog_category_id' in 'field list'
File: /home/content/*/*/*/***/***/***/forums/zCommunity/Sources/ImportSMF.php
Line: 154

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.7, while your database is at version 1.1.4. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

(The Astrix are just my cover edits)

How do I properly fix this, I don't know how to run upgrade.php.

MoreBloodWine

When I goto apply the mod this comes up...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function preparezcfuncnames() in /home/eojmarke/public_html/testingforums/Packages/temp/install_db_edits.php on line 26

Indeed, board-to-blog brings :

Database Error
Unknown column 'blog_category_id' in 'field list'
File: /yes/yes/all/that/stuff/zCommunity/Sources/ImportSMF.php
Line: 154

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.7, while your database is at version 1.1.6. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

I've tried various uninstall/reinstall with various trips back and forth between 1.1.6 and 1.1.7 but no success, doesn't seem the "upgrade.php" in the 1.1.7 patch (the one automatically suggested on the packages management page) is newer. The only thing I haven't tried is to go to 1.1.7 through the exterior update package, downloaded manually. The one that's require to uninstall all mods first. But why wouldn't its upgrade.php be the same ?...

Also I've tried to import the board while at 1.1.6 but I get another error. A simpler :

Database Error
Unknown column 'blog_category_id' in 'field list'
File: /quite/a/nice/long/path/there/zCommunity/Sources/ImportSMF.php
Line: 154

It might me of importance (or absolutely not) to note that these problem were about a blog that hadn't be manually deblogged, but had just been turned into a board at the uninstallation of "blog community". I might try later to boardize it clean (from the now-reinstalled "blog community") and then import it on "zcommunity".
[Edit : Have just tried it to be sure. Nothing to do with that. Just getting access to the blogs menu of zCommunity brought me to a
Database Error
Unknown column 'bs.blog_id' in 'on clause'
File: /you/know/just/the/usual/url/zCommunity/Sources/Subs.php
Line: 53
Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.7, while your database is at version 1.1.6. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.
]

And lastly, clicking "create new blog yes i am sure" a blog brought up this :

Database Error
Unknown column 'blog_id' in 'field list'
File: /yaaaha/almost/got/me/that/time/zCommunity/Sources/Subs-Blogs.php
Line: 97

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.7, while your database is at version 1.1.6. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

I cleaned everything, uninstalled my mods, got the original files back, basically removed everything that could be *obnoxious*... and spent hours trying to figure out what I could do to install zcommunity. It doesn't work.  :(

My host accepts the file (permissions are 777 by default) ; I can upload it without any problem, applying it is okay but for some reason it won't get installed.  :-\ I have no idea on how to solve this issue.

Here's the url I get whenever I click the install button:

http://finckaholic.com/forum/index.php?action=packages;sa=install2;package=zCommunity_0_7_0_alpha.zip

I don't know what to do, will possibly get the previous version back.

Nevermind, Runic fixed an issue I was having with my theme so I decided to reupload Blog Community.  :) Everything's perfect now, just need to get the button back.

Every single problem mentioned by all of you related to zCommunity 0.7.0 Alpha has been fixed.  Please make sure that when installing zCommunity 0.7.1 Alpha that you upload the folder from part 1 before running part 2 of the installation in your forum's package manager.
