Check that the language strings were added to   Modifications.english.php and/or Modifications.english-utf8.php

Thankyou, I did this manually and uploaded via ftp and seems to work now and no errors!

Any chance of an update for SMF2 RC2?

Eclipse16V

Please update it for SMF 2.0 RC2

Thx

Sabre™

It works for SMF 2.0 RC2.
It doesn't state that on the download page, because the author hasn't needed to update any part of the code since November 26, 2008.
Install it, and enjoy :)

Here, on 2 RC2, it won't even install. It says for step 1:

1. Execute Modification     modification2.xml     Modification parse error

* live627 Recommends that users post their version number, like 1.3

Here's what I get on the frontend (Rules.template.php) Use padding, not margin

AnHELLuS

Hello. I translated into Polish. Attached files, together with modification.

1. The original file the rules hxxp:1.3.zip [nonactive] files are located: the_rules.jpg (35kB - the large size for such a small graphics ) and the_rules.ufo <- virus, spy or what ?
2. Please shift language files to a separate directory. Not everyone uses the utf8 ;)
3. Also working on a version 2rc2 and I have the same error which presented DirtRider and Eclipse16V .

Thanks for the much needed modification. I wish you all a happy and peaceful 2010 :)

Complete noob question here.

Is there a place that gives step by step instructions for somebody that has no idea on how to manually change the settings for different themes for a mod?

I've downloaded this mod which works a treat in the default theme, but as the forum also uses the back-n-black theme the mod doesn't work there and I need to change the settings.

Seriously, I don't know how to go about this and even though a lot of the forum pages here detail change this and that, I don't even know where I'm supposed to be looking never mind changing things.

Can I change in the Admin settings on the forum or do I have to go through an ftp program to change things on the server. I really don't know and I can't find a complete idiots guide.

Any help and pointers would be appreciated, I'm so new to this that it's giving me a headache!

Thanks.

Ohhhh yes.
On my smf too.
Same here, thought it was normal since only to found out it isn't. Any solution to this yet?
"There is no god, and that's the simple truth. If every trace of any single religion were wiped out and nothing were passed on, it would never be created exactly that way again. There might be some other nonsense in its place, but not that exact nonsense. If all of science were wiped out, it would still be true and someone would find a way to figure it all out again."

Only an educated guess..
In ./Themes/default/languages/Modifations.english.php

Code (Find) Select
$txt['the_rules_edit_agreement_pre_html'] = '
</td>
</tr>
<tr class="windowbg2" >
<td class="windowbg2"><a name="edit_the_rules_agreement"></a></td>
<td valign="top" ><label for="the_rules_edit_name"><a href="';
$txt['the_rules_edit_agreement_post_html'] = '</a></label></td>
<td class="windowbg2" width="50%">
&nbsp;';

Code (Replace with) Select
$txt['the_rules_edit_agreement_pre_html'] = '<label for="the_rules_edit_name"><a href="';
$txt['the_rules_edit_agreement_post_html'] = '</a></label>

I've been into the index.template to alter the codes for the Back-n-Black theme and have managed to get the tab up for the Rules section, with one small problem.
Is there a text code for the word Rules or Forum Rules?

at the moment in the section that states things like
$[2] = admin
$[103] = home
$[182] = search

is there a number that relates to Rules?
