I just tried to make the SMG tag not work in SMG 1.5.6, and I can't.

First, I started the post with the plain text editor active, manually entered the SMG tag, clicked the "A" to switch to the WYSIWYG editor, and the tag stayed in tact.  Then I switched back to the WYSIWYG editor, and the tag was still in tact.

I then tried starting with the WYSIWYG editor active, switching to the plain text editor and back, and that also worked.  I then previewed my post multiple times, and rapidly clicked the "A" button to switch between editors multiple times, and it still worked.

At no time was the SMG tag decoded, regardless of which editor was active, and it always posted the image from the gallery without fail, all with the WQR mod installed and running.

Re: Album Sorting

I noticed that if you try to sort any albums while someone is doing a mass upload, you'll get unexpected results.  Yet, it seemed to correct itself once the mass upload was finished.

However, I as I posted awhile ago, User Albums seem to ignore the sorting order you place them in.  My General Albums will all move and be displayed properly, but the User Albums continue to ignore the sorting order I try to put them in.

when i try to do a mass image upload its not working correctly?

I have tried 5 images and once i click upload, it starts to upload then stops after first image then i have to click upload again.

Is this correct?, Once its finished and both uploading progress bars say 100% and i click submit it only showing one image uploaded?

Is crossdomain.xml implemented? If not please search on this thread or at http://smf-media.com to know what it is. Is mod_security enabled? If so, try disabling it.

Yes you need to enable crossdomain.xml and disable mod security if it is enabled. Search at http://smf-media.com if you are in doubt, this has been answered a million times.

I really appriciate your help and i think that seems to have fixed the errors, But may i ask if we dont know anything about mods, and theres so many to have why dont it say will conflict with certain mods, Nothing has told me that the mods conflict and theres no errors in error log anymore!


So iam not sure what iam suppose to do there, I appriciate your kind help, and would off paid for them edits to my files if needbe. But it took you 5mins lol 

how much does a 2min edit cost nowadays on smf ? 

I know how frustrating this can be, but do yourself a favor and learn how to do your own edits as much as possible. First it will be really helpful to yourself and second, these guys are asked constantly for help, especially with the popular mods like this one and I'm sure they are wearied of all the time having to do it for everybody. You may be surprised how much of figuring out how to get mods to play nice is not that tough once you get the hang of it. Seriously.  Just keep those backups.

I can do the edits if iam told the edits to do quite easily, I didnt know what code to find or replace or the code to add, has i dont know this?

I am still having problems with this on the mass upload. Detailed in above posts!


Hope somone can direct me on how to fix this or what edits are needed, thanks

You may have problem similar to mine. Did you set "post_max_size" and "upload_max_filesize" in your php.ini and what did you set them to. 100M is supposed to be the max size but if you search you will find plenty of argument about that.

Hey, is there a way that I can make user albums open for other members to add items?

I'm not sure. Not in SMG1, but SMG2 has permission profiles, you can create one that will give upload access to anyone even inside a user album. However, I have never tested this (the permission stuff was written by Dragooon and I find it too complicated for me to really delve into), so I can't say for sure it will work.

I tried to give upload access to user album via the new permission system, but it is not working for me. Currently using RC2 thou.. have not upgraded to RC3+ yet.

It'd be nice if someone could go through the last 10-15 pages of the topic and gather a list of the most frequently asked questions, and then I could try to automatize answers for them. (e.g. for mass upload I give all possible solutions.)

Cool, been delaying the upgrade of the mod since I kept getting emails saying a new one was submitted every few days at the beginning of the month.  Wanted to see if things calmed down before I went ahead and installed again.  Nice job as usual, Sir.  Already uninstalled and installed.

I didn't release THAT many updates...

RC3+ will not be around for too long, though. I'm expecting to release the final version this week or so. I'm currently busy with my backlog of messages. When I'm done, and if no other bugs are found, I'll release it. (Basically, RC3+ = Final, with a few invisible differences.)

I'm very busy atm, bull will concider it. Is Dragooon out of the project? He should concider his position in this mod. Maybe you should find another person or two to help with the mod?

Dragooon, if you don't want to be involved in this mod anymore, then handle it to Nao 100%.
