How Do I Edit The Email That A Member Recieves When The Register?

Open /Themes/default/languages/EmailTemplate.english.php and make the changes to the email template you want to change and then save the file in /Themes/{your_theme}/languages/EmailTemplate.english.php

That file should have all the info you need although it is a bit hard to understand at a glance. If the email first sent isn't in that template then when registering it must be using the "send_email" section of that array. If you can't find what you need in that template then say so and I will have a harder look for what you want.
