Tick boxes for unread posts since last visit

i don't understand why ignore topic would take any more resources than notification.  if it only applies when you click the unreadreplies button, wouldn't that be the only query that has to deal with it?

Can the posts found with the 'unread posts' search have an included tick box like in your private messages?  That way you can go through and check those you want to just ignore but you don't mark everything as read.

"Show Unread Posts Since Last Visit" doesn't actually mark the posts read. They stay unread until you either read the post or mark the board that the post is in as read...

Right... but there is a mark as read when you have a list.  What I'd like to see is a checkbox beside each of those posts, just like in your pm box.  Allow a member to check all that they want to delete (just like in PM) and delete only those with the checkmarks rather than ALL of them.

Yes, that's the idea... I don't speak Dutch or Italian or German, etc... I'd like to be able to mark those as read so there aren't five pages of posts to sort thru trying to find ones I want to read.
