Wait, I'm sorry, I lied.  The templates have changed between 1.1.6 and 2.0b4.  It most likely will not work right.

Its ok I found that out  . Must be some change in the menu code. No worries though I reistalled the new version .

Did you get your forum upgrade?

Also in regards to the 127.0.0.1/smf issues when you recreated your settings.php to put in the correct db username/password details you need to change the forums path as well.  If you had just changed the setting to the correct URL

Yes I got there in the end. Had a few problems since including the loss of quite a few posts. I posted a support topic but its a bit of a lead ballon
