IS ther ea good custom theme for SMF 2.0.4 I need a dark blue based one.

I tried clanwar and Shadow people, both are good, but irrespective of whatever i do and howmuch ever I try most of the custom mods fail on the theme which work properly on the default theme.

Can somebody recommend a nice theme for me on which most of the mods work, thanks.

Nathaniel

Unfortionately most themes change a fairly decent amount of template code, this means that whatever custom theme you use, you will have to make some edits to it so that the mods you have installed will work.

You will just have to find one that you like, and then apply all the edits to it.

Vivekm: all custom themes have their own index.template.php file. This means that any mods which edit that file will require manual editing to work with any custom theme. A lot of custom themes also contain additional files. The more files they contain the more editing they are likely to require.

If you want the maximum ease of installation then you really are stuck with using the default theme and changing the colours and images to suit yourself. Quite a lot can be done this way and there is a dark blue version of the default theme already available for 1.1.x.  The images and css could easily be adapted for 2b4.

Thanks for the quick reply LHVWB and
antechinus , but even if I edit some themes with guidelines the mods don't work, for instance shadow people theme, its one of the best theme I have tried but no matter what me or my friends do we are unable to view the google adsense or for that sake many mods.

Is ti possible to downgrade the 2.0.4 forums to something like 1.1.7?

Antechinus

You will have exactly the same problem with 1.1.x.
