You could use this host to set up an smf forum or if you look in http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=4.0 you can see who smf users recommend to use for a decent service as well as just a host.

We both are! We have been trying and nothing still isn't working.

If you need help installing or something maybe take a look at the Installation and Upgrade help board

Thanks, things might need to be sorta more explained because we weren't I'm not but I'm not sure if she's getting anywhere with it now. She said she was gonna work on it. But she & I got very both confused and it made no sense.

We are not a host, we just make the software. Normally you get 'generic' hosting and then put up code or scripts that you need. See: Hosts, Hosting and Commercial Services

                              I recommend:
Namecheap (domains)
Fastmail (e-mail)
Linode (VPS)

I could see that your host is godaddy, you can do the installing from you cpanel with just some few clicks.

I started off on one of these free type sites and I would not recommend it as at the end of it all you have no control over your site and data  :(

I agree! If someone is going to do it, do it properly from the beginning.
