Mick.

Hey PJ,  will this be available for rc2?

PJLawrence

It's something I plan to look into next year.
If you know a little PHP you should be able to get it to install under RC2 yourself.
I don't think much has changed regarding mods from RC1 to RC2.

Mick.

I had this mod when i was using smf 1.1.

Pretty much everything was still intact even after i upgraded to RC2.   Only 3 files needs to be edited manually,

./index.php
./Themes/default/index.template.php
./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english.php

One file in particular i cant find this code for the admin area,

./Themes/default/index.template.php

Find:
$current_action = 'admin';
if (in_array($context['current_action'], array(

Add After:
'flickrgallerybrowser',

It works fine just dont have the admin access.

PJLawrence

OK I've updated this mod for SMF 2.0 RC 2, see version 0.4

Any way to make this work with Groups instead of a personal gallery?

PJLawrence

Sorry currently no, that's unless you want to modify the mod yourself.
Instructions for displaying groups can be found on the phpflickr site.
see http://phpflickr.com/examples/a-users-groups/

clothahump

Thanks, will probably leave it well alone then, not very good with messing with code.

In theory it should already work with RC 3.
I've just not had the time to check this. It's something on my to list.
If you got your own test installation of RC 3 by all means try and install this mod and let me know.

aw06

Ok kool, i just see where it does not support groups, i needed that most..

I've had a number of requests asking me whether this mod would support groups.
Since it's something I'll not be using myself it would be difficult for me to support.
However, a discussion has opened up on another thread discussing how to modify this mod to support this feature.
If this might be of interest to you please see /community/index.php?topic=405892.0

I just installed this as I saw that the ability to view groups had been added. However all I get is "no groups found" when I try to use this mod.

question - in the mod settings what is used for the default flickr set/group? is this the name of the group? the http of the pool? I'm not finding good instructions for this.

thanks

PJLawrence

For Sets it is the set ID, which is a long number which looks like this 72157623403236797.
However, in your case, it is reporting "no groups found" therefore the mod cannot find any sets for the account specified.
Hence, maybe check your flickr account to see if any sets have be setup correctly.

lakelady

ok this is confusing - Sets are not available in flickr groups, only a group pool of photos
so there must be another setting I'm missing or have wrong
or the group option isn't working right

PJLawrence

Note this mod only allows the access to sets or groups associated with a user (flickr account).
Are you trying to access a group without provide a flickr account?

lakelady

yes I have provided it with a flickr account and the appropriate (I think) account ID. In fact I created a new flickr account specifically for this purpose. This account is the admin of the flickr group and I populated the group pool with a few photos from my previously existing private account as a test so the group pool wouldn't be empty. Still no luck. Next question?

PJLawrence

Sometimes a service provider will block the ability of a php application to open sockets to outside servers.
In the home admin screen of your smf form does the  live news feed work.

lakelady

yes (though nothing new is there since Feb) - next question?

PJLawrence

What happens when you try this id defekto with the sets options?
