I have been installing packages for a while now, no issues. Decided I wanted to try another one I found, but I am getting "Could not upload package, please check directory permissions!"

I have checked permission, and everything is set right, any other reason in the boards to cause this?

kat

First thing that comes to mind is "Have you reached your host's limit for the size of your site?"

OK. If  I was in your position, this is what I'd do.

Go to Admin>Packages>Options.

At the bottom, under "Cleanup Permissions", check "All files are writable.".

Hit "Change file permissions".

Try to install the mod, again.

Whatever you do, change that back to "Only the standard files are writable.", afterwards.

OK. Try uploading the package to your Packages directory, via ftp.

You can, then, just go to Packages and click "Install" from the list, there.

If the ftp transfer fails, I'd have a word with your host.

The FTP has been working, its something on the boards I think. I did what you said and it works, I didnt know you could just bypass the boards like that, good to know

Glad you're sorted.  :D

Can you mark this as solved, please?
