Free Subscription going to Paid Subscription

I want to encourage Members to SUBSCRIBE to certain "User Levels" within my forum.

The idea is that they subscribe for free this year (and see the benefits) and then pay next year.

So, I don't want to set-up (yet another) Membergroup only to have to change it again.

Is there a way for Paid Subscriptions to be set for FREE and then, in 2011, I can change the fee ready for renewals?

If not, how is it best to handle this please?
