I've converted our VBB forum to SMF: hxxp:gspvn.org/forum [nonactive] but this error occurs. How can I fix this issue?

ThorstenE

was there a "conversion successful" message? I think you got some errors during conversion? Can you post this errors please?

Dont mean to hijack this thread but I get the same problem and I get this in the converstion log

Converting personal messages (step 2)... Unsuccessful!
This query:
SELECT
pm.pmid AS ID_PM, pm.touserid AS ID_MEMBER, pm.readtime != 0 AS is_read,
'-1' AS labels
FROM `saintzer_forums`.pm AS pm
WHERE pm.folderid != '-1'
LIMIT 0, 500;
Caused the error:
Unknown column 'pm.touserid' in 'field list'

Yes I have. try it but still get blank page all the users are there but not the topics or post. It gave me an error with converting polls so I deleted them and retry the convertion and that work but now the new one shows up

Okay I was able to fix it using vbulletin36_to_smf.sql instead of vbulletin35_to_smf.sql that was stated before. Got a hunch and went with it and work. Thanks for helping

It displayed "conversion successful". Also, I tried to use update and re-stats features from admin page but forum didn't change the stats. The vbb forum is closed and locate at hxxp:gspvn.org/vbbforum [nonactive]

emux, have you tried the vBulletin 3.7 converter? http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=262571.0

maybe there is a difference in the database layout from vBulleting 3.7 (our converter) and vBulletin 3.8 (your version)? Can you PM me a dump from your vBulletin database?

emux

I've tried the VBB 3.6 converter  :-[. But our new SMF forum contains new posts since the day we applied converter. Can we edit the SMF stats counter code than using converter again instead?

P.S
The dump link is in PM, please check it. Thanks

uhh, I'm not sure.. It should be possible but I need some time to find a way..
Thanks for the dump, I'll check it later this day.

All is fine with your forum.. SMF by default shows only posts from the boards itself on boardindex, not from the childs boards.

Go to Admin - Boards - Settings - Count child's posts in parent's totals (enable this).

Thank a lot, I've fixed it: hxxp:gspvn.org/forum [nonactive] and updated to SMF 2.0 RC1.

I've change the theme to core-default, but in the admin controlpanel, no option to edit the default theme. How can I edit theme (for example, add some links to footer)?

ThorstenE

sorry, for the late responce (I'm busy at the moment)..  changing the default the is impossible from within admin center. you can copy the default theme and then edit the "Copy of default" or modify the default theme from FTP.

emux

Thanks, it's ok now. How can we add some links to footer? Because of the default template completely written by php so it hard for me to find line to add the code. I'm not good at php, only a little with html.

ThorstenE

I know there is a modification "Global headers & footers" on the customization site, but you'll better ask for support on our support boards, you'll get faster replys from much more members. This is the converters board and there are only a few people watching it at regular intervals.
