changing host

I wanted to change my host . So, i did  a backup of database and mysql , Then i uploaded the both in the new host.

Then when i try to open repair_settings.php it does not load only the upper section with the simplemachines logo loads the rest remains blank. So , i opened settings.php and changed the forum database path and sources path as per new host, Then repair_settings.php loaded with a error "Some settings are not being shown because the MySQL connection information is incorrect. " but the mqsql details were correct.

Can anyone tell me where i did mistake or whats wrong ? If you need i can share the new hosts login details.

i would suggest you contact your new host and verify with them that the information you are using is correct, if it is and you are still having problems then let us know.
