Hello!

I am trying to make a change in the smf by getting new boxes (pictures) in the template just under the header but it wont work.

Look at the picture below, (1) is the template how it is now and (2) is the template with the red censured boxes, this is how i want it (the red boxen are images which i want to be clickeble with a [url] behind it, so i can click on the pics and go to another site.)

Probably it is very simple voor you guys but i don't understand it  :-\

I need a change in the html (extra header maybe?) PLEASE can someone please help me?

just make a new class for the pic cell, and define it in stlye.css , and put 20px margin ,that should do it

Hello Sbmcos,

Thank you for helping me!
But i am quite new with smf, ik can change html and put Mod's in it, but i can't write it myself.
So i don't know exactly what you mean  :-\  :(

I am also forgotten to say that i want the new pics have an [url] behind it, zo i can click on the pics and go to another site.

attach [theme/index.template.php] file and style css

simplebeer

Hello Sbmcos,

I am really sorry, but still don't know what youre talking about  :-[ :-[ :-[

I can only change html in .php files if someone tells me what to do.
Just like a mod file with a discription.

The discription tells: Find:....and replace for:.....etc.

But write it myself, no unfortunatly not (yet)....

Can tell more specifik what you mean please?  8)

Thanks  :)

attach the file from ur theme folder ( file name :  index.template.php & style .css ) here, so i can edit the file for u

simplebeer

Would you really do that! wooww!  :D :D :D :D :D

One question, i use theme baylon, do you need the index templet forum that theme or the default index template?

Ok, think the babylon template.

Here it is (its really big!)
<?php
// Version: 1.1; index

/* This template is, perhaps, the most important template in the theme.  It
contains the main template layer that displays the header and footer of
the forum, namely with main_above and main_below.  It also contains the
menu sub template, which appropriately displays the menu; the init sub
template, which is there to set the theme up; (init can be missing.) and
the linktree sub template, which sorts out the link tree.

The init sub template should load any data and set any hardcoded options.

The main_above sub template is what is shown above the main content, and
should contain anything that should be shown up there.

The main_below sub template, conversely, is shown after the main content.
It should probably contain the copyright statement and some other things.

The linktree sub template should display the link tree, using the data
in the $context['linktree'] variable.

The menu sub template should display all the relevant buttons the user
wants and or needs.
