2 users same IP or Email

Is there a way to prevent users from signing up with the same email or IP?

Not sure of the answer BUT be wary if you do this.

You may encounter members with more than one computer in the household whom want to register with your forum.

Yes, this is true for IPs - maybe thats not such a good idea. Restricting mutliple users on the same email address is standard on most boards but I haven't found it on SMF.

It's standard on SMF too... more than one user cannot have the same email address, it's not an option, it's a built in security feature

SD I can understand the different email side but I was referring to the same ip on more than one pc.

We have 2 computers in the 1 room here.

TheLIstener - I was replying to plusev.  He stated it was standard on other boards to disallow registering with the same email more than once, thus my reply saying it was standard on SMF as well.

plusev - yes, it works with RC1.2, thought there was a bug discovered that I have to fix and repackage it to easily install on rC1.2
