Last from Forum in Joomla

Hi Guys, i've seen a plu for joomla called last from forum, but work only with phpbb.... is there something for SMF, i need to show in to the home page a windows with the latest message on forum , can you help me?

if you are not trying to link the users and/or display the forum wrapped in joomla, then you can look at making joomla modules using the ssi functions in SSI.php
(look at ssi_examples.php to see what you can display)
