I have a question about 'prince of Darkness' theme.

1) How can I change the white editor area to what is in the other text areas (with grey background and that gold border around)? See attachment.

2) Also I can add space between the button row and the similes.

3) Why is the spoiler tag looking weird?

4) How can I change the icons to other?

5) How do I make the editor area wider?

6) Also how do i make the quick editor on default shown without need to toggle into view?

Thanks in advance!

Antechinus

1/ I get the impression you just tried to copy the images and css to your default theme. If you check the theme on my demo site all textareas are the same.

2/ I have no idea. I was wondering that myself but the buttons are generated by javascript which is not my forte. I didn't code that bit. It's default RC2 code.

3/ Because whoever coded the mod didn't provide styling for it. Suggest asking them about it.

4/ Look in the images/bbc folder.

5/ That requires hacking Sources/Post.php and some css editing. There's a thread on it fairly recently. Would have to run a search to find it.

6/ Profile > Look and layout > Quick Reply > Show on by default.

Thank you for the quick respond.

I don't understand? Why is the editor on reply page white in its background? I haven't done any edits to the css or files that I know? I just uploaded the theme and that's it and set it as default theme..?? How can I fix this?

I tried re-uploading/installing it and its the same!

Ok I'll look into it.

I can add that its looks normal on the quick reply editor and when I edit on the page, the white background appear when I am on the reply page. Can mods have done this? The mods I have are:
1.     SimplePortal      2.3.1
2.    ResizeImagesToFitScreen    0.1.5
3.    Spoiler Tag    0.7a
4.    SubAccounts Mod    1.0.0
5.    Balloon-Shaped Frame Message
6.    SMF Arcade    2.5 RC1
7.    Tagging System    2.2.1
8.    Default_Membergroup    1.0.0.3
9.    SMF Ranks    1.1

SN

off topic: what is ''9. SMF Ranks 1.1'' can anyone link me to that mod please

Ok I'll look into it.

I have some more details, when I click on the 'toggle view' button (the 'A' in red) the editor turns normal (that is show the gray background and gold border) but this is not automatic when I click on 'reply'.

So is it normal when you are on BBC editor or is it normal when you are on the WYSIWYG editor?

I don't know, is that a setting you change in admin? I want it as it looks on your forum..
I found it, It was because the WYSIWYG was enabled. All is as it should!

I also have one more question. How can you change the heading picture (in each category) I would like to find that image and add an item to it..

How do I change the border around the board to fit the new background? I change the background but the border at the corners and the below the board is still of the previous color/background.

I just tested your demo site...I have to say I'm quite impressed. What mod did you use to switch themes without going to the profile like the links you did on the top right of the demo site. Looking one for myself for RC2 test site.

Must admit I didn't test with the wysiwyg editor as I prefer the bbc editor myself. I'll fix that for RC3.

You mean the hex pattern header bars for each category? They are part of the main_block.png. If you want to add another image to the bars on the left side of the text it would actually be easiest to call it by html in the category name in admin.

Which border do you mean, exactly?

Dismal, I didn't use a mod. I just added the direct url's to the different themes in the news section of admin. You can code them into the template anywhere too, of course.

Antechinus,

I have created my first theme variation, based on the Curve 2.0 RC2 theme, and reading your posts helped me considerably, so I must give you a big thanks. THANKS!

I modified the main block and menu files and a couple of others, but used the default icons. I packaged it according to the instructions in the SMF documentation, but didn't know for certain if that applied to 2.0 RC2. It is called Aqua Blues and here's a screen shot of the forum I made if for, which is using Simple Portal.

I don't personally know anyone that could test install it for me to see if i got the packaging right and if there are any bugs, and I was wondering if you would before I make it available for others to use, and if so what procedure do I need to follow?

Thanks...

Antechinus

Just try to install it on a test site and see if it works. :)

I must ask , why is it you see fit to remove my Copyright's from my Modern-Light Theme ??

http://thetwoworldsforum.com/
:o :o
I don't see how or why it was removed...I haven't edited the theme.
I ran a test here on my demo site: http://test.nathan-source.com/
It's there but how the hell did it removed on my site? I would be glad to put it back but I don't know how.

Bump, would really like to copyright footer by Crip. Should I attach the template.index.php?

EDIT: I have fixed it and it was not there while editing so I add it back thank to Sleepy Arcade who provide me the fix. The cause of this is unknown cause by the mod.
