Is it possible that when you create a new topic you can use bbc or html in the subject line to change the colour.
So instead of it been the defult link colour it could be or some of it could be a different colour

You will have to look through each mod making sure you pay attention to version compatibility :

There is no support for doing this as far as I know, not even really as a mod. bbcode parsing in titles is a bad idea for performance (it'll practically kill your forum) and HTML in post titles isn't support for security reasons.

If you add a bit more about exactly what you're trying to achieve, there may be a better way.

thanks looked through can't seem to find one what i was looking to do was having something like this announcement:my forum

Arantor

There is a topic prefix mod that might be suitable - try searching the Mod site for that instead.

the trouble with that mod is there is no colour option and the author will not add it.
if some one knew how to recode the mod to include color options then it may be worth looking into.

Arantor

No-one can just recode the mod. Requires the author's permission. Someone can add notes in the thread about it, or write it from scratch however.

Did you read the mod's thread to see if anyone did that already?

yes i have been following the thread for mod as i have tried the mod once. if i had mod installed and knew what code to add to what files to get the color then i would do the necessary edits

Arantor

Hmm, I don't know the mod so don't really know what to suggest re the code.

I guess you could request one in Mod Requests, noting all the rules to be followed in READ ME: How To Request A Modification (Mod) (with the information required)

Ok thanks i may put in a request but as its not really important I'll leave it for now.
Marking as solved
