Minor Problems
« on: January 25, 2010, 07:14:46 AM »
Can someone please give me an idea on how to solve these errors.

I know the black boxes can be solved by looking in the themes index.css file but I have spent ages going through it with no luck.

How do I solve the > which appears in the menu?

The theme I use is Raven.

The button is defined in these variables of the CSS (line 103 according to firebug):
Code: [Select]
.button_submit, .button_resetChange the background or the color in there. As for the second image, for some reason your forum link won't work for me. Will you please right-click that image, copy its location, and paste it here? I have a hunch about what it may be but don't want to give out wrong info. Thanks.

First issue (the one about the button):
In Themes/raven/index.template.php
Code: (Find this...) [Select]
<input type="submit" name="submit" value="', $txt['search'], '" class="button_submit" />
Code: (Replace it with this...) [Select]
<input type="submit" name="submit" value="', $txt['search'], '" class="button_submit" style="color: whatevercoloryouwantthetexttobeshouldgohere;" />
You may have to clear your browser's cache.

Second issue (the ">"):
I don't have direct access to your files, so I can't be for sure, but use your browser (or a text editor) to search in index.template.php for this:
Code: [Select]
</div>>
If you find it, replace it with:
Code: [Select]
</div>

Thanks bud

Oneproblem was sorted, however I was unable to find the >> you mention.

Other pages still have the submit button with black text.  :(

Will keep looking tho.

Please try not to attach bitmap screenshots next time. Even on a fast internet connection it took about 10 seconds to load that HUGE file. Save it as a JPEG or PNG file instead ;)

For the second issue, look for the following code in your index.template.php file:

Code: [Select]
</div>&gt;<a href="http://www.entertainmentearth.com/hitlist.asp?id=PA-911058646&amp;theme=Star+Wars"><img class=" tunouzqxwvwsmjvvfowk" src="http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh258/2plus1_bucket/Saga5_468x60.gif" alt="Photobucket" border="0"><br class="clear">The &gt; is most likely the reason you see that sign there. Remove it. If you still need help locating this code, attach your index.template.php file here for that theme.

Never been told that before.

Will have a try first.

Edit: File attached.

Please note that the lower banner of the two is using the simple ad rotate mod.

Please ignore the first attachment.
