How do I upgrade from RC2 to RC3 without loosing members/boards/topics/replies etc.?

I assume You're talking about RC2 to RC3.
Use the Large Upgrade pack to overwrite existing files, and run upgrade.php
That's it.

But , remember that most of Your mods will be gone , and You'll need
to add them manually.
