Hi,

Can someone tell me which, how and where is the correct Coppermine Bridge to use with Mambo (4.5.2) & SMF(bridge 3.02).

Many thanks,
Dave

in coppermine, follow the instructions for installing under SMF.

pretty simple... I think it consist of uncommenting one line.

(NOTE: for this to work, coppermine must be in the exact same domain as SMF!!)

Hi Kindred,

So this works OK with Mambo 4.5.2 AND SMF bridge 3.02? No problems with this? I have been told that there is a bridge to get SMF and Coppermine to work.... I don't want to break mysite again after your hard work! (Cheers).

I did want to run it in a subdirectory -  www.photo/mysite.co.uk, or do I have to have it in www.mysite/photo?

Thanks, ;)

you can not run coppermine in a subdomain different from SMF... (I bumped into this problem with someone else)

so,
if mambo is www.mysite
and  SMF is www.mysite/forum
coppermine must be www.mysite/photo

The only other thing you can do is apply the code I posted a few pages back that adds a link under the users avatar the links directly the the users coppermine album

I don't know if it has to be in the same database...   but it is in all my installations.

Goosemoose,  could you refresh my memory about that code?

Yup that was it. Putting coppermine in the same database will make your life a lot easier, although I do believe you can put it in a separate database if you are willing to make some changes. I have put it in the same database for all of mine as well.

Kindred

thanks... I added a link to that in the readme post. :)

Sorry for being stupid.

Here goes. I'm helping a mate with a website. He's been using SMF for a while now (I persuaded him :D), with his updated website he's got mambo. I've integrated Mambo with SMF, that works fine. Installed Copper mine and used the set-up options to get it combined with SMF.

Now how do it get Coppermine into mambo? I know there are bridges available but would these ruing the coppermine-smf intergrations?

Thank you so much for any help

You just add a wrapper in mambo (go to the menu you want to add the link to, and add wrapper), then point to the location of coppermine. The users will already be shared because you have them shared between smf and coppermine, and smf and mambo are sharing.

Sicne Coppermine shares SMF users so well, and they are bridged to Mambo, you're all set.  Like Kindred said, just add a wrapper and things work great.  If you're feeling a little ambitious, follow the instructions in this thread to polish it all of nicely: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=28318.0

Wow, got it all sorted I think:

'Members Gallery' being the coppermine link.

Thanks a lot, that really helped  :)

Kindred,

I think you mean this:

Coppermine Button and other wrapping fixes!

By doing this members of my board will be able to have access to coopermine without having to login

I have my site set up like this:

mambo: www.cooltechcentral.com/
SMF: www.cooltechcentral.com/fourm/
Coppermine: www.cooltechcentral/Multimedia

I have both Mambo and SMF bridged.

I did this before I knew that Mambo SMF and Coppermine could all be bridged together.

Kindred

The instructions for merging coppermine with other software are in the coppermine distributable...

Sorry man. I apologize for my approach to my question. I figured that part out some time ago and have everything intergrated now. Again I apologize I don't spend much time on this board because I am working on getting my board up right now.
