In the ./Themes/core/BoardIndex.template.php, my notepad++ cant find neither :
<td colspan="4">
<tbody class="content" id="category_', $category['id'], '_boards">

The Core theme is written quite differently to Curve, you can't just apply the same instructions because it's all very different.

If you don't use the Core theme, you don't have to worry about it (I don't know if you are or not)...

Note that the mod would have to be completely rewritten to work properly on Core.

So I can install it still without making any edits or will it cause a parse error? I am using the greengrass theme..

TheListener

Provided there are no other edits required on the greengrass theme (good choice btw  ;) ) then there is no reason as to why you can't continue.

Arantor

...if you're not using the Core theme, don't even bother trying to install it in the Core theme (it won't work anyway and the edits that can't be carried out will just be ignored)

So let me get this correct, on the install page of the mod, if there are failed tests in themes other than my current theme, I can still install with no worries or possible parse errors?

TheListener

If you only use the one theme on your forum then yes.

With the exception of the DEFAULT theme.

Hiya all.

I am entrusted with this mod now but I haven't have time to look into it deeply yet. I also believe that my brother Joker is a better coder than I am. I will try to do my best in handling this mod.

Thank you for supporting this mod and do feel free to ask for support.

I really appreciate the work you've done on both the VBulletin Style Board Index mod and the Separate Replies and Views Column mod.  However, they don't install correctly together.....

I've assembled a mod that combines the two and was wondering if I could get permission to distribute that mod....  Obviously, I would properly credit both mods as the source of my forked mod...

Thanks for your time!

Off-topic: I personally it's weird to see two forks meet and combine to form one fork... gotta be a weird picture.... just weird  :P  Maybe it looks like this:

Anyways...  Sorry about the off-topic....

Both MODs are MPL-licensed, so you can freely fork them as long as you respect the license terms.

Anyway, kudos to you for asking ;)

I will try to look into it dougiefresh. If you already have the suggested changes and wanted to share them, feel free to post them here.

Thank you margarett. Both license will be changed to BSD when I get my hand into both mods. And nice purple badge, I'd say. Congratulations!

I asked because I didn't want to disrespect the mod author(s)....

All I did was take the Board Index stuff from the VBulletin Style Board Index mod and paste it into the one with the rest of the Message Index changes....  It seems that both mods share the Message Index stuff, so installing them both causes them to visually clash (maybe functionality as well... not sure on this point)

I upgraded this mod first and will into the other mods. From what I can see there is one change made to the same code. I'll try to go through it and see what can be done.

#Change Logs

@Version 1.9.3
- Upgrade to partially hook for SMF 2.0.x.
- Fix some css like white borders and smalltext.

One suggestion/request: Please add an option to swap the two columns.  IMO, it makes more sense to show topics then posts, than to show posts then topics....  Thanks!

I was merely following the established flow in default theme. 'll try to remember to add that later in the next update.

njtweb

Any chance to get this working, I use flatline theme.

Thanks

Hj Ahmad Rasyid Hj Ismail

Sorry but I am not supporting custom theme. You can try asking your theme author to help.

MULITRI

Hello,

First of all this Mod makes look greater the boarindex, thanks for this.

I hace it installed many days ago, just one of the first Mods i've installed in my new forum, but reading this topic, i have found this...

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=379307.msg2944946#msg2944946

I thought about it and checking my new forum, it's true it only counts messages and topics into the parentboard but not the ones into the childboards.

I've tried to edit that +1 value but it did not work, even i've readed there is not a definitive solution.

Anyone has found how to solve this?

I'm running SMF v2.0.13 with Anecdota Theme.

Thanks in advance.

Edit:
I have noticed now after install SimplePortal v2.3.6 of a template issue which i had not before, i know maybe i will have to ask to SimplePortal, but maybe they will return me here ;)

I have attached a screenshot of the problem.
