is there a minimal version of SMF ...

less on graphics
less on features

i want to use SMF as a quasi article manager

post aritcles and possibly upload files etc ...

any ideas pls

The way you'd do it is using only the features you want and creating a new theme with the simple look you desire, removing also any link to or feature you don't want used.
