Different search

I have a friend who has a SMF forum with many, many boards.  He needs to know if there is a mod that could be written to change the search from searching for threads/posts, to search for Boards.  Is this possible?

Yes, he wants to search for board names. 
He told me he was over 500 boards. 
So is this possible?

Why dont you use browsers search in boardindex? (Ctrl+F)

Well, he says that his boards are all listed on a website, so that they don't need to view the Board Index.  He says thats why he needs a search, so his members don't have to use CTRL + F.

Off Topic:  I asked him for the URL, but he wouldn't give it to me. 
He said it wasn't done yet or something.  You can bother him on AIM though and see if he'll give it up.  tpowner3109 is his screen name, I think he is still online.

Well, i hope his community isnt about 500 boards and 5 members Youll need many members to fill all those areas.

Immediate shortcut: Tell the members that if they don't want to press Ctrl+F, install Firefox and enable Find-as-you-type.

Ctrl+F works in IE as well.

But would there be a way for me to re-do the current search on SMF to search for boards, and not posts?  Or make a new search box that if I had the links on a webpage, it would scan the webpage and show all relevant links?
