how to send mails to my site members

hi supporters,

   i want to send emails to all the members of site , having 1030 members in it.
i am using SMF 2.0 RC3

i have found mail option in maintenance. HOw to send mails from it?

if i want to set SMTP or PHP settings , how can i configure.
