1.1.12 Template Installation CSS Problem

Hi Guys

I'm fairly new to SMF and have been trying to install a new template to my forum.  The problem that I have is that when i try and use any template other than the default one (I've tried about 4 others) the CSS doesn't display and I'm left with the plain, white HTML/PHP only.

Any ideas what the problem is?  I've checked the paths to the template folder as mentioned in another post and they seem to be fine.

Are the paths correct, is the theme compatible with your version of SMF?

Does the version have to correspond exactly with your current forum version?  So I can only use a 1.1.12 template with a 1.1.12 forum?

I've tried to use Reference12 which is a 1.1.12 template.
The paths are set to: Theme directory (templates):
/home/iaivjzwc/public_html/forum/smf/Themes/Reference12
URL to above directory: hxxp:www.sheffski.co.uk/forum/smf/Themes/Reference12/ [nonactive]
URL to images directory:hxxp:www.sheffski.co.uk/forum/smf/Themes/Reference12/images/ [nonactive]

Which I believe are right?

for 1.1.12 you can use any theme made between 1.1 RC2 and 1.1.12
