what things can I do to change it?

Since there is no admin directory
I provide limited support as I am just as clueless as you.

Hello there.

I belive that keep your smf version up to date is the most important thing you can do.
How do I make my forum safer against hacker attacks?

Regards.

Illori

if you keep using the latest version, then you will have a lessor chance of getting hacked in anyway. if you use old versions of smf then you will not have all the patches that the developers have released to patch security issues.

Also, no need to worry about something no one can get to - If you have an up to date install, and you don't just give away admin rights to everyone that comes by, then there's no chance anyone will ever even get to your admin panel - since it will need administrative permissions to begin with ;)
