I'm marking this thread solved because I'm done with all the excuses as to why you can't do stuff--not even stuff you've done before. You just forgot maybe. I'm more interested in people who know how to do stuff, and that's not here.

Neither is your forum the whole world. I think the consensus is that very few admins have asked about such a feature for their community (being representatives of their communities), so the best way forward is to implement the functionality as a modification. If the modification proves to be very popular (popular enough that the demand offsets the support and maintenance time of the feature), then consideration as a core feature can be given.

It's not a "no", but simply a statement that not enough interest has been expressed to make it a core feature.

I know that. And with that, It's clear I've outgrown the limitations of SMF. I'm shopping around for different boardware. With SMF, one certainly gets what one pays for (free).

One also gets what one puts in.... You have been moderately rude and demanding,not to mention insulting, name calling and insistant that your desires were all that matter, since you represent a huge demographic who are apparently not represented anywhere else.

Although, come to think of it, you were mostly the only one throwing around names and insults when we essentially answered your question and suggested that, if you desired this, you should request a mod...
