Email from Password Reset not Working

Hi,
Our forum seems incapable of sending emails to its members,  and most crucially,  to those who have login problems and need to reset passwords.

Tried name and email ID.  Get a response that an email has been sent,  but it is never received.

There are no relevant errors noted in the log.

We are running version SMF 1.1.16. All else seems fine.  Any suggestions gratefully received,

Solved my own problem.  Buried in the small print of our host agreement....

Important: The free hosting plan does not allow you to send e-mails, you can only receive e-mails. You need a premium (paid) hosting plan to be able to send e-mails. Any contact forms that send an e-mail, would not work either on the free hosting plan.

Sorry guys.  Guess there is no way for SMS to know and notify user.
