Mods not installing

Hey, I'm having an issue with my modifications.. They're not installing. All the "Replace" and "Insert after" things aren't actually happening when I hit install. The server is running linux with vsftpd for FTP services. I think it may be FTP related..but I'm not sure.

That sounds like a permissions issue.  Check that the files are writeable  http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/CHMOD_-_What%27s_that_all_about and if they are then you need to contact your host and get them to ensure that the file ownership is set correctly, that you have full CHOWN, because if this is set incorrectly it doesn't matter what permissions you see yourself.
