Guest Viewing not possibe new install

I cant seem to get the site to be visible to guests.  I have allow guest to view checked.  In local permissions I dont even see any thing about allow guests to view,  only post.  this is frustrating.

Than why you allow the guest to view. It is not possible ,they will not see your website.This is possible ,they can read the title of topics but can't read that topic.

Nothing shows on the page.  Only guests on line.

In admin-Configuration-features and options- general   do you have allow guests to browse the forum checked?
for your boards settings - look in Admin-forum-boards-modify boards, click the modify button to the far right beside each board, look at the allowed groupd checkboxes. make sure guest is checked for any board you want them to see.

That was an ordeal to find.  And the default was unchecked.  At the minimum it should have been checked.

I did click permissions in my efforts.  One would think that would be a logical place to look.  I did not click modifiy since I had no desire to modify the boards.

Great forum software but needs some work in the navigation department.   I have been building websites since 1997 and this was one of my biggest challenges since then.  I have installed hundreds if not thousands of scripts over the years.  Getting around in admin is a nightmare.  But this is the only software that I know of that eliminates spam almost completely.

I need to clarify that the problem was not Unchecked "allow guests to view" .  The problem was in Boards.....Modify.  Guest was unchecked there.
