Spam members/spam posts

hello,
on my forum for some time i have Spam members that make too much spam messages!
i tried to restrict the posting option like this forum, with verification code!
i deleted the drone members and topics/posts they made!
but when i wanted to instal the firewall and badbehaviour mode...my forum just broke!
i installed a backup and is all ok now...but i still get false members and posts from time to time
can you please tell me what to do to resolve this problem?

If you installed from a backup, which did not include any of the mods that prevent spammers, then you're back at square one.

Ie, no protective shields.

You need to see why the anti-spam mods broke your forum, and we can help there. Try to install them again, and post back if you get into difficulties.

please note, as well...   the forum firewall mod is incredibly powerful...   and needs to a- be run in test mode for a while before activating features and b- if improperly configured, can basically lock out everyone, including the admin.

read the instructions. proceed carefully... don't just "turn it on"

This message is normal. The site may be having some downtime temporarily.

so what settings should i do now?...i see the forum firewall is still on my forum, maybe it remained from the database backup i did last time

In the 6 months my radio stations forum has been active I have only had ONE human spammer.

did you install and activate bad behavior+httpBL?
did you add some questions in your smf admin?
