Hy,

Before anything else, i would like to apologize myself due to my really bad English.

I would like to know, if it is possible to install tools like the one above, in my forum, as if it was one image on a regular post.

Please check the code of this tool i need to be installed (if possible of course)

<iframe frameborder="0" scrolling="no" height="274" width="505" allowtransparency="true" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" src="http :hxxp:tools.forexpros.com.pt/technical_summary.php?pairs=1,2,3,4,5,6&curr-name-color=%230059B0&fields=5m,15m,1h,1d [nonactive]"></iframe><br /><div style="width:505px;"><span style="float:left"><span style="font-size: 11px;color: #333333;text-decoration: none;">Oferecido por Forexpros - O portal líder de Forex e <a href="http :hxxp:www.forexpros.com.pt [nonactive]" target="_blank" style="font-size: 11px;color: #06529D; font-weight: bold;" class="underline_link">Mercado de Ações</a> .</span></span></div>

I have a person that told me that this may be possible by using blocks but i do not know what he means with that.... Do not even know what a "block" is  :-[

Can someone help/teach me to install this in my forum please?

NOTE: Ad to insert space between "http" and "://......." so it accept the code. Otherway i couldn't post the code to ask you how to proceed

Welcome to SMF,
You want to use an iframe in a post?

Hy,

I do not know what name you do call it, but i would like that tool would appear at my forum, at the top of a post,  and as the code is starting with "iframe", yes, i think it calls iframe

Latter, i will use the same way to increase the number of tools from the same owner (forexpros.com)

MrPhil

There's a Portuguese language board on this forum, if you're more comfortable asking in that language.

"blocks" would be in reference to having installed a "portal". There are a number of portals offered for SMF. Look in the mods section. However, I don't believe that would give the ability to enter this HTML into posts. Do you want to put this iframe somewhere "fixed" on your page, but not in posts? That could be done either by modifying SMF's code or using a portal block.

Who would be adding these iframes to posts? If it's just the Administrator, you can put [html]....[/html] tags around the code you gave. If you want anyone else to be able to do it, you'll have to write a new BBCode tag, which would be a substantial undertaking for a beginner.

Titito

HY,

The one who is/would be adding this iframes in to posts, would be me (admin), but in case this is not possible, or very hard for someone like me (does not understand mutch either about programing or about english, hehehe), i think it is just fine if i can add it in any other way, i would apreciate you to teach me how to proceed. (you talk about using a portal block, but i do not know what block to use, and i am not shure if i know how to install it, because i have never donne it, but to install blocks is another story... If you could at least select the correct portal, it would be a nice help)

To use .... tags around the code does not work (at least with the configuration i have on my forum) because i had tried before i start this topic.

Can you please try to help me?

If you want to see the forum, it is "hyipdotitito.webuda.com/" and you can access it as normal user using user "Teste" and pass "Teste"

MrPhil

I get a parse error on your site -- you've modified code somewhere and it doesn't work. Even if I could get on, I couldn't post an iframe in a message because I'm not the admin.

If you're the admin, you should be able to make a post containing [html]<iframe..... >[/html], and it should work  (assuming there is no HTML restriction on iframes within divs). I see that you are on a free hosting site (webuda.com). Maybe they have a modified SMF that has disabled the [html] tag. You might ask them, if you can't get it to work.
