There's just no admin interface... right now, it's more of a template system thing... but it IS there. And it IS ready. And it DOES work. On Display AND Profile!

Actually, this is kind of in beta 4.0. Open profile.template.php and I believe it says how to add it in there.

Tried that one out but my values kept on showing up in the fields of other members.

I think that [Unknown] has already opened the door to allow us all to incorporate as many additional fields as each of us would like thanks to his excellent tutorial on the subject.

Wouldn't it be easy to implement a section in the admin area where you check a box for an extra field, then name that field?

Just seems like it would be an easy thing to actually implement into SMF by default.
