Hello,

I wonder if someone from the team could make a MOD allowing to have several additional choices to visit the latest posted messages than the default ones. This is what I would like to get (example taken on another forum):

<div style="float: right;">

<a href="./search.php?search_id=newposts">See new messages</a><br>
<a href="./search.php?search_id=egosearch">See your messages</a><br>

<a href="http://forums.archlinux.fr/index.php?hash=f9206f9a&amp;mark=forums">Mark the forums as read</a><br>

                Messages since
                <a href="./search.php?search_id=active_topics&amp;st=1">12</a> |
                <a href="./search.php?search_id=active_topics&amp;st=2">24</a> |
                <a href="./search.php?search_id=active_topics&amp;st=3">36</a>
                hours.
</div>

<br style="clear: both;">

It's a French forum so I translated the visible parts to make it clear for English readers.

I would like this mod to be available in several languages anyhow, minimum in French and in English.

About permissions, it should be available to any registered and connected member, but not seen as long as the visitors are not connected.

Do you think it would be possible ?

Thanks,
mélodie

It's not entirely clear what you're asking for... be able to display all the messages from the last 12/24/36 hours?

Why not use the 'View the most recent posts on the forum' option, i.e. index.php?action=recent ?
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.

Hello Arantor,

I have tried it a few times, and it's much less handy than the 12/24/36 hours made available for registered members on the archlinux.fr forum. I have asked at the #smf chan how it would be possible to get this result, and some members advised me to come request a MOD for this purpose. So here I am! :)

Is this mod any good to you? :)

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3288

Oh yes, that seems good! It doesn't say compatible with 2.0.4, but with the drop down menu to choose which version forum in use, it does not say "not compatible", either. So I will install it and see how it goes.

Thank you very much,
Mélodie

Back to the topic, I have installed the RecentTopics24h48h72h-V1.zip MOD, and it has said "success" for all the themes except one (which no one uses so far) but,

it does not work. There aren't any new entries.

I have reported at the MOD's thread here.

Hello,

I have posted at the MOD's thread again because I have found more information about it. http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?P=a77e58e9bd22c8addd10259cb4bcf934&topic=465019.0

So if I could have some help to go further with it, it would be very nice.

Thank you,
Mélodie
