anybody can help or guide me converting my phpbb forum to smf?

Step 1: Download and install whichever version of SMF you wish to convert to. For best results, it should be installed on the same database as phpBB with the same MySQL username and password.

Step 2: Download the converter and upload it to your phpBB directory...
1.0.5 converter: download phpbb2_to_smf.php from the "Tools and Converters" section of the download page.
1.1 Beta 3 Public: download converter.php and phpbb2smf.sql from the 1.1 Converters topic

Step 3: Upload the file(s) to the directory where you installed SMF and point your browser to the converter file (ie http://www.you.com/smf/phpbb2_to_smf.php {1.0.5} or http://www.you.com/smf/convert.php {1.1 Beta 3 Public}). Follow the instructions from there.
