Vertex Theme Smileys

What set of smileys do you recommend for this particular theme? I am having some trouble with the default ones looking static-ee so I know all other smileys mods will probably look the same..

Find a set that uses png images. They should be fine on any background.

Any animated ones will still have to be gif, if you want to have animated ones.

Creating gif images for showing animation is the best thing you can do, else you can also go for flash based smileys for good animation effect.
