having problem with sending mails

Hi,

Please i need help i am having issues when i register a user i dont receive any mail to activate an account. what may be the cause because i have set my smtp  in smf

If you register them, yourself, why would you want to get a mail, telling you that you've done it, when you know you've done it?

Or, have I misunderstood and you mean that your new members don't get a mail?

Are you registering them, as you say? Or, are other people registering and not getting the mail?

Check for mail-related errors in your error log. Also, if you're using port 25, try switching to port 26 as I had to do recently (port 25 was being blocked).
