Remember me stopped working

Hey guys

We had been using SMF forum for a long time without issues, but a few months ago some people started having issues with the "remember me" functionality, and the forum asked them to login on each visit.

Then it just fixed by itself, now, some weeks after that the same started happening, you login selecting remember me forever, and some time after that, you go to the forum and need to login again.

The version we are using is SMF 2.0.11 and we didn't do any configuration changes in the forum, so I don't know why this erratic behaviour.

I checked the admin error logs and can't see any error that could be remotely related to this.

Do any of you know what could be happening?
Is anyone else having the same issue?

Not enough information here.
It's like saying you have a 2015 Chevy 1/2 ton Pick-Up that made a sound, stopped making the sound, and has started making the sound again.

Admin -> Server Settings -> Cookies and Sessions

Change the cookie name, that will logout all members and require them to login with a fresh cookie.

What are your cookie settings?

As I mentioned in my first post @siirist the forum has been working flawlessly for months, and no changes in configuration or modules updates were performed but the cookies stopped working, also error log has no interesting errors, just wrong password on a few users.

I already changed the cookie name to see if setting a new one fixes the issue, I'll let you know what happens.

If you haven't changed anything coincident with this problem appearing, it's unlikely your settings or mods are causing it.  It is possible that your host has changed something, but as the problem comes and goes, that's not likely either.  Only thing I can suggest is try checking 'Enable local storage of cookies' or 'Use subdomain independent cookies' if it happens again.

I have not had this issue and I attached a screenshot of my cookie settings as a comparison i.e., my settings are "lower"? than yours.
