NEW POLL missing

While this might sound pretty dumb, I do feel a bit blind here.

I have even logged in as admin now, but I cannot see any button called "NEW POLL" besides the NEW TOPIC one.
Which setting could be misconfigured on my forum?

you need to have polls enabled. off hand i would think it may be on the features and options page in admin but i cant look right now... you can always use the search in the admin panel to find where it is.
