database has a problem
« on: December 17, 2017, 03:27:38 PM »
I'm a database administrator and today I've seen following - The Microsoft Jet Database Engine cannot open the file. I don't know what to use for solving it. My friend suggested this community; I hope here, someone could assist me.

I honestly doubt anyone here can help you. We don't deal with the Jet engine under any circumstances (we have no support in SMF for anything other than MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite), but if the Jet engine can't open a file, the user either doesn't have permission to access the file, or the file is corrupted; usually the latter in my experience.
To assume is to hope that those who came before had the presence of mind and capacity to implement the dreams of those who would come after.

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. It seems you have chosen which, and now I must do the same.
