Editing Site Slogan

I've put an inline style around the site slogan in Admin -> Configuration -> Current Theme.

Then had to adjust the line height in index.css to 1.5em like this (in red):

/* float these items to the right */
#siteslogan, img#smflogo
{
   margin: 0;
   padding: 0;
   float: right;
   line-height: 1.5em;
}
h3, h4
{
   padding-bottom: 3px;
}

However each time I load a page there is a flicker so that the Slogan appears to jump.

Is there a better way to change the appearance of the slogan so it doesn't flicker/jump anymore?

Just tried a lot of changes, nothing makes any difference, then noticed that this site has the same flicker.  Could be something to do with my browser OS or?

Changed the font size of the site logo ... makes the flicker less noticeable.

Does anyone else notice his flicker when you load a new page on the forum?

Page flickers during load can happen for multiple reasons. Some are because of browsers, other times it can be the font loading. There's no way to say without seeing what's going on in your site.

It's the browser, just tried a different browser and no flicker.
