HELP!

Now that I've converted my PHPBB2, I get this error...

Could not connect to the database

ok...so I changed the password for the database and that worked. Now i'm getting my old board back and the SMF is just coming up  "index" on the page?

Try re-uploading index.php

Now, this is what I get:

Did you change the password for the SMF database as well? You can fix that with repair_settings.php.

What is repair_settings.php?

Now I get this:
Some settings are not being shown because the MySQL connection information is incorrect.

That means SMF can't connect to the database, because either

- your username is wrong
- your password is wrong
- your databasename is wrong
- your database server is wrong
- your prefix is wrong

In other words: check your database details again.

Is there any other reason other than those? I have tried every option and contacted the server people that just told me the same info I was already typing in

Well, MySQL could be down  Maybe you made a typo?
