I would sometimes like to link users to a specific reply in a topic.
I searched the FAQ and the forum and couldn't find the answer

Appreciate if anyone can shed some light.

Select the title of post that you want to link to and copy and paste it into the post that you are writing.  To illustrate, I've copied and pasted a link to your post in this topic: https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=562946.msg3993889#msg3993889

Ahh thanks!
I didn't realise the title could be linked. I was using the Sunrise theme and the link was not there. Changed to Core theme and it is.

Wasn't there a way to link to a message ID without topic ID as well?

2.1 uses this directly in quotes and a few ther places but the link style works in 2.0.
