Do tooltips display on mobile devices?  How do you mouseover without a mouse?

Depends on the mobile browser... but generally, no

However, hover on a mobile is a single touch... double touch or long touch is a click

Thanks, will see if I can get one of my members to try it on a phone.

You can actually use SuperFish (JS) plugin's method to show tooltips... SF does one-tap to open, second tap to follow. But that probably requires some JS knowledge.

Alternatively, you can wrap the tooltip info with span/a element and use :focus on it to show.

I'll take a look at that.  The coding in mobile-desktop is a bit eccentric ( :P), not easy to work with or find things.
