Will upgrading SMF remove previous user bans?

I have an early 2.0 version of SMF and I was wondering if upgrading it to the latest version will remove previous user bans? If so, is there a way to restore them via SQL or something like that?

No, it won't touch existing settings for anything. It will just install security patches where necessary.
