SMF showing its age?

found this in my profile. does anyone use AIM anymore?     is it me or is SMF showing its age?

Yeah all them are gone in seems like AIM, YIM, MSN
In 2.1.x you can easily turn profiles on or off.

Im using 2.0.17 so I guess I'm stuck with it for now.

they can be turned off in the admin panel in SMF 2.0 as well. which has been done here now.

And where would this option be ???... because I thought they were hard coded, that's why I've never even bothered to try and remove them :P :D.

in your admin under configuration
Features and Options > Profile Fields

uncheck the boxes for active and save

Ummm... is this in 2.0.x or in 2.1? I can't seem to find it :-\. The only things I've got in Features and Options is "General", "Layout", "Signatures" and "Who's Online".

you need to enable advanced profile fields under core features... dont forget to save the page.
